About Hit the Road Dude AI

Who runs Hit the Road Dude AI, how the meme videos are made, which AI model we use, how we keep it safe and how to reach us.

Last updated: 2026-10-21

Hit the Road Dude AI makes one thing: your own version of the viral "Hit the road, dude, this ain't no state property" meme from one photo. Upload a photo of your pet, a friend who agreed, or yourself, and get a 10-second vertical video with the lines spoken out loud, ready for TikTok, Reels or Shorts in a few minutes.

Who runs it

Hit the Road Dude AI is an independent project run by Wang Wei (王维), an individual based in the People's Republic of China. It launched in October 2026. It is not affiliated with TikTok, with the creators of the original trends, or with the AI model providers we use. Contact: support@hittheroaddude.fun.

Hit the Road Dude AI is run by the team behind Step Into the Scene, which makes other AI trend videos.

How a video is made

  1. One fixed template. The prompt is written and reviewed by us, so you never need to write one, and no free text goes to the AI model.
  2. Safety check. Your photo goes through an automated NSFW check before anything is generated.
  3. A named AI model. The video is generated by the model shown on the page (see the list below), with its own safety filter turned on.
  4. Your video. You download it. Without an account it stays available for 3 days; with an account it stays in "My videos".

We build a new scene from your photo. We don't use the original video or the man in it.

Models we use

  • Grok Imagine Video 1.5 Lite (xAI). Videos include sound: the lines are spoken in a new synthetic voice, not the original man's voice.

All models run on fal.ai. The current list is in our acceptable use policy.

Pricing

There is no free version and no subscription. You buy a one-time credit pack: $3.99 for one standard video, $6.99 for two, $14.99 for five, or $29.99 for twelve. A standard (720p) video uses 30 credits; HD (1080p) uses 90. Failed videos are refunded in credits automatically. See pricing and our refund policy.

Privacy and safety

  • Photos are used only to make your video. They are not shown to other users, and we don't use photos or videos to train AI models.
  • Only upload photos you have the right to use. Deepfakes of other people, sexual content and anything involving minors are not allowed.
  • Report a video at support@hittheroaddude.fun. We reply within 24 hours for anything serious.
